From Cowtown to Cowboy State for a training camp

Casper, WY, USA. CBR’s 3P crew spent two quality weeks of training in Casper, WY in July. This was the very first time we travelled to Casper and trained at Casper Nordic Biathlon Club’s brand new shooting range.

A steady streak of hot weather added to the challenges of mostly long volume heavy training at this altitude location, but the athletes seemed to have embraced the obstacles and showed no signs of hesitation in their training effort.

We are hugely thankful to Rob Rosser, President and Head Coach of CNBC, who was an amazing host to us and opened the doors to his house to save the entire team from a torrential downpour and fed us a delicious barbecue to warm us all up.

We strongly recommend visiting Casper’s new biathlon venue that has a full range with 30 Kurvinen targets and a paved loop for roller skiing. The surrounding area is great for road and mountain biking as well as trail running and swimming.
